I grew up in Towson, Maryland. After receiving my B.S. in Business Administration at Washington & Lee University in Virginia, I worked for several years in consumer research and PR agencies - in Boston and Washington, D.C. - before moving to Boulder, Colorado. I spent five years in Boulder and received my Marketing Ph.D. at the University of Colorado. I then joined Indiana University as an Assistant Professor of Marketing and am currently an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Connecticut.

When not working, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and biking with my husband and three kids. I also love to cook, travel, and listen to podcasts. (These are some of my favorites: This American Life, Hidden Brain, Fresh Air, and Revisionist History)
